Every Wednesday with an 8pm prompt start
All singers and players of folk music welcome or just come to listen.
Ales, wines and soft drinks at the bar.
Here is Leti from the Phillipines. She turned up one Wednesday and entertained us with some wonderful music in her native language.
Thanks Leti, do visit us again.
New start time: Please arrive ready for a prompt 8.00pm start. This allows us to finish a little earlier and helps those who have a longer journey home.
Our format is a singaround and the M/C usually passes from person to person around the room.
Our Music is folk - traditional and modern - so we welcome singers of folk songs, players of folk tunes, acoustic instruments, single person or joint offerings. We do try to keep our idenitity as an acoustic folk music club.
George, our M/C for many years has been unable to attend recently due to ill health and we all wish him a speedy recover and look forward to his return - get well soon George. Depending on numbers you may get perform two to four times.
At the half time break, take the opportunity to socialise and discuss music.
The bar is available all through the evening - a ring of the bell will bring one of the bar staff through from the main bar to the function room.
We also run a tune and song session (not singaround) at the Rose In June (mostly traditonal folk tunes).
