About the Broadside

Our new web site is now being built and we hope to have plenty of content about the Broadside Folk Club for you in the coming months.

Thoughts from the new committee:

The whole reason that the Broadside has survived and prospered for such a long time is that it is entirely devoted to the making and enjoyment of music. We have not been constrained by the normal "clubby" aspects of most groups - and the elitism that that entails. The aim of this committee is to make a very small number of changes to try and make sure that we survive into the future. We desperately need your thoughts and opinions so that all of us can continue to make, and encourage the making of the music that we love. Whilst it's quite fun being a committee: it's not really what we want to do, so please come and stick your oar in and shove us out of the way.
